Learning outcomes

At the end of this unit, students should be able to: • Understand the different discourses and approaches to socio-ecological transition, and their practical implications • Mobilise these discourses in the context of concrete case studies

Objectives

The student should be able to understand the complementarities and incompatibilities between the major discourses on transition

Content

Through a series of four lectures followed by debates, the student will become familiar with the different visions of transition held by different actors of socio-ecological transitions: collapsology, transition initiatives "Bottom-up, top-down technology transition, domestic transition approach.
