In-depth understanding of basic statistical concepts (probabilities and distributions) and how to apply them to hypothesis and regression tests. Learn how to use ANOVA (conditions of use, calculation in Excel).
Correct interpretation of results.
Develop basic statistical skills.

Exercises PC
Reading the syllabus; watching video clips; question-and-answer sessions, practical work (exercises available on the "Pratique de biostatistiques" website at the following address: https://webapps.fundp.ac.be/umdb/biostats2017/biostat/communs/maitaqua.html)
Continuous assessment :
1/ During the year, students will complete exercises from each module during 3-hour supervised practical sessions, which will be compulsory in order to be eligible for the final examination.
2/ An open-book examination on the format of the exercises carried out during a 3-hour practical session will be carried out during the examination session. The Excel file completed by the student will be returned to the teacher for assessment.
The final mark will be: (1) Either 0/20 if the absences during the practical sessions have not been justified; (2) Or the mark received during the examination at the end of the session, if permission to sit the examination has been granted.
