To deepen the concepts of Genetics seen before with a particular consideration to the historical and the experimental points of view
This course aims at developping an integrated approach on the molecular processes regulating gene expression in living organisms
The course is organized around the basics of Genetics and the central dogma of molecular biology proposed by Francis Crick in 1958. The course will bring new insights on the gene relative to its nature, its transmission and its controlled expression. Basics of quantitative and population genetics will also be introduced.
The teaching units from one of the following lists:
Genetics 8th edition (Klug, Cummings and Spencer) Molecular Biology of the Gene (Watson et al.)
