Learning outcomes

The student has to be able to decode biopharmaceuticals : type, origin, preparation, mechanism of action, advantages and disadvantages of these drugs.

Content

Following the introduction section focusing on the features, the preparation, the stability and the pharmacokinetics of biopharmaceuticals, the teaching will review different classes of biopharmaceuticals : peptides and proteins, enzymes, antibodies and vaccines.

Lessons are using blackboard and slides which are available for students.

The examination is written or oral

The exact modalities of the evaluation are likely to be modified during the preparation of the examination schedules, depending on the practical constraints with which the faculty administration may be confronted, or in the event of illness / force majeure / encroachment with an internship, or because of the health situation related to the coronavirus.
