Learning outcomes

At the end of this placement, the student will have increased his/her autonomy in a research laboratory/ He/she should be able to conceive the difficulties associated with setting up a research protocol or an analytical protocol and understand how it works. They should also be able to present the results of their work during their one-month placement in schematic form.

Objectives

The aim of MPHAM217 is to undertake 4 weeks of work experience in order to discover the professional pharmaceutical environment. The student may therefore choose a placement location from among the various orientations of the research profession: hospital and clinical pharmacy, industry, clinical biology, research, federal drug agency, etc.
It is part of the discovery of the pharmacist's activities in the research and development environment

Content

The placement will involve observing the activities of the placement supervisor and his/her team, as well as carrying out practical activities related to the placement site. As this is a master's placement, the student is expected to play an active and practical role (over and above simple observation) during the placement period. Students are strongly advised to carry out their placement in the research unit or laboratory hosting their experimental research work. 


Evaluations

The student must present the work carried out during the month of the placement to a panel of judges. This presentation will take the form of an oral presentation using PowerPoint (or equivalent).

No specific support, but students must be able to consult reliable online resources (Pubmed, Scopus, Google Scholar, etc.).
