Communication en équipe et relation soignant-soigné [MINFM108]

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, students will :

- be able to identify the factors that promote/inhibit communication within a medical interview

- be able to conduct a medical interview according to the Calgary-Cambridge structure, both face-to-face and remotely (video-consultation)

- be able to maintain the quality of information as it is successively transmitted

- have developed teamwork skills (communication, leadership, situation monitoring, mutual support)

- have developed better self-awareness and emotional skills (identifying one's own emotions/the emotions of others, regulating them, managing stress and workload) for better individual and team performance.

 

Content

- Q1: 15 hours on "Communication and the care-giver-patient relationship" and "Interprofessional communication"; spread over a majority of hours of "asynchronous distance learning" and a few hours of face-to-face simulation (at UNamur).

- Q2: 15 hours on "Emotional skills", at a distance, asynchronously (video clips, readings, etc.); spread over a majority of "asynchronous distance" course hours and a few hours of face-to-face simulation (at UNamur).

- In practical terms, a video clip will be made available on the Moodle platform almost every week, followed by a compulsory assignment.

 


Teaching methods

Video clips used as lectures, illustration of theory using examples and videos, discussion, exercises (including simulations), reading and supporting documents.
