Learning outcomes

The student will be able to decipher the main scripts used in the Middle Ages (11th-15th centuries), all types of documents, both in Latin and in the vernacular. He/she will have to master the abbreviation systems in use at the time.

Content

The training, which is essentially practical, will be accompanied by an introduction to the technical vocabulary of palaeography.
