Learning outcomes
The student will be able to analyse grammatically, translate and comment texts of medium level of difficulty. He will have the capacity to explain the context and to express the main message of the texts.

Improving linguistic knowledge, developping capacity of analysis and translation; approaching masterpieces of Greek literature.
Content
Study of Greek texts of authors
- Grammatical analysis (morphology, syntax)
- Translation
- Commentary (context, history and contents)
Table of contents
Thucydides, Peloponnesian war, extracts of books 1 and 2
Teaching methods
The students prepare the translation and are required to present it at the lesson . If necessary, revisions of certains points of grammar are organised.
