Heuristics in the field of Greek, Etruscan and Roman archaeology (depending on the areas covered in the cyclical speciality courses during the current academic year). Introduction to research work.
This course teaches the necessary approaches to research in these areas. These approaches are applied by the student in the writing of two papers: a first paper, during the first term, is focused on architecture; a second paper is presented on site during a study tour in the second term.
Bibliography, research approaches. Writing of two papers of about 20 pages. Oral presentation on site of the work done during the second term. Progressive monitoring of the work's progress; correction and individual discussion at the end of the work.
Continuous assessment.
