Learning outcomes

  • Explain what human-machine interaction, usability and user experience are
  • Understand how to support these notions in the context of the development of a given information system
  • Be able to analyse users' needs and model them
  • Know design and prototyping techniques for interface creation
  • Be able to choose and use user interface evaluation techniques

Objectives

At the end of this class, the student will understand the importance of usability and user experience. He will have learned a number of tools that will allow him/her to analyse users' needs and define a user interface that respects these needs. He will know prototyping techniques that will enable him/her to evaluate the quality of user interface designs.
