Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students should be able to :

    understand and talk about a written text on a subject related to their speciality;
    understand and talk about an oral presentation on a subject related to their speciality.

Objectives

The aim of the course is to develop your oral and written communication skills in your specialist field, based on the basic vocabulary and grammar covered in Dutch 1 and 2.

Content

In this Dutch course, you will perfect the basic knowledge (vocabulary, grammar, etc.) that you have acquired in years 1 and 2 through activities that put into practice your communicative skills (oral and written expression, reading, listening) relating to your future professional environment.

The course is structured around 3 themes, which will be dealt with in parallel:

    Taalnet will help you to improve your listening comprehension and vocabulary. Do all the exercises except the speaking ones.
    Informaticateksten: The aim of these texts is to improve your reading/listening comprehension skills and to familiarise you with computer vocabulary.
    Conversation: The conversation sessions, which aim to improve your speaking skills, will be based on the themes of Informaticateksten and Taalnet.

Néerlandais 2 (niveau B1 minimum) [IELVB211]

Teaching methods

Method adapted to suit the audience
On average: 1 hour of classroom work, 2 hours of homework per week

Evaluations

Knowledge is assessed by means of two tests, one written and one oral, during the year. There is no exam in June.

The second-session exam covers the entire subject, i.e. the subjects from both tests.
