Stage I: business analysis of a company problem [EMSGM232]

Learning outcomes

  • Integration into a work environment, identification of project challenges, and development of partnerships.
  • Problematization and initial development of the theoretical and methodological framework.

Objectives

This initial step aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Integration into the work environment.
  • Definition of the context, challenges, and scope of the project: In what context (sector, organization, etc.) does it take place? What is its historical background? What is the key question?
  • Definition of the analytical framework upon which the problem study and practical proposals will be based: What are the key concepts and how should they be defined? Which theoretical frameworks can be effectively applied in this project?

Content

The observation internship takes place during the first semester (Q1), with a commitment of two days per week (to be determined based on the chosen thematic options), totaling a minimum of 26 days. The intern begins their assignment within the company/organization as defined in the internship agreement.

Evaluations

L’évaluation de ce premier stage est réalisées par le titulaire académique (directeur de mémoire) sur base d’un premier rapport écrit d’une vingtaine de pages environs. Ce document reprendra : la définition du projet (contexte, antécédents du projet et question-clé) et le cadre d’analyse (définitions et revue de la littérature).

Sauf indication contraire du titulaire académique, le rapport écrit est à remettre au plus tard le premier jour de la session de janvier
