Objectives

The main objective of the workshop is to introduce students to the creation of a website, its editorial animation and its coherence with social networks. The student will learn the essential concepts and a series of useful tools for the future professional activity.

Content

The workshop is based on theoretical presentations on the one hand, and on the other hand, on a practical exercise allowing the concrete implementation of the concepts and tools discussed. Thus, the management of a website project in a global way (planning, design, production, realisation in a CMS, putting online and evaluation) and the coherent integration with social networks constitute the main part of the subject. The course is divided into agile timeboxes: • Specificities of digital communication • Strategic planning: business objectives, target, persona, user scenario, KPIs, etc. • Design: structuring of content and definition of functionality • Production: cms, html, css and graphic design • Production: copywriting, SEO • Production: Facebook social network, configuration, editorial calendar, community management and content marketing

Teaching methods

The course consists of theoretical lectures, application examples from benchmarking and the experience of the students and the trainer. In addition, specific exercises are corrected and the student will make the most of them in order to make progress over the weeks and achieve the finalized website project within the given timeframe. The workshop requires the student to do a lot of individual work to create a website.

Evaluations

During each workshop session, the student is asked to carry out a practical exercise either during the session, or for the following days, or for the end of the term. The student will be assessed on : 1. these successive works; 2. the presentation of the finalized website project at the session; 3. and the quality of the website.
