  • 5 credits
  • 20h+45h
  • 2nd quarter
Language of instruction: French / Français
Teacher: COLLIN PASCAL

Objectives

The main objective of the workshop is to introduce students to writing and to the different journalistic genres of the audiovisual sector.

Content

The workshop 'Audiovisual Journalism' is based on the theories exposed during the workshop 'Communication Writing'. It consists essentially of practical exercises to explore the different journalistic genres of audiovisual journalism (ticket, edited ticket, time flash, interview...). The student will benefit from the material and human support of the SAT to carry out this work. This will enable them to approach the technical aspects of the profession. Other meetings with audiovisual professionals are planned.

Co-requisites

Atelier "Ecriture communicationnelle" [EINCB214]

Teaching methods

The workshop requires a significant amount of individual work from the student. Learning will be based on practice, whether the student observes and analyses existing productions, learns about genres and techniques, meets professionals or is asked to produce increasingly elaborate products over the course of the year. Each exercise will be the subject of a personalised correction from which the student will make the most of in order to progress over the weeks.

Evaluations

During each workshop session, the student will be asked to complete a practical exercise (to be carried out during the session, for the following days or for the end of the term). The student's assessment will be based on these successive assignments.

Recommended readings

The teacher does not plan any paper-based materials for this workshop other than on an ad hoc basis. The students will learn by doing and by being in contact with professionals. The teacher may recommend one or other French language textbook so that students can bring themselves up to speed if necessary.
