Master thesis [EFASM006]

Objectives

The aim of the dissertation is to carry out a quantitative research project.

Content

The dissertation includes the identification of the research question and a relevant statistical or econometric method, the collection of relevant databases and the interpretation of the results. The research paper will be introduced by a motivational statement (why is it important to study the chosen topic?) and a brief literature review.


Teaching methods

The thesis is based directly on the SAD Data Analysis Seminar (EFAS M403). The student is therefore invited to register for this seminar at the beginning of the academic year. The dissertation is managed by the holder of this seminar and two assistants.

Evaluations

The final thesis is defended orally by the student before a jury composed of the SAD Seminar Chair and another FASEG academic. The rating, decided by the jury, is based on the written report as well as the oral defence.
