Learning outcomes
The student will be able to : • Take the necessary initiatives to identify, present and be accepted in projects that interest them; • Engage seriously in the activities that will be requested by the association/social enterprise; • To step back and reflect on one's experience in terms of its personal, civic and academic implications; • Develop a critical perspective on the lessons received so far, knowing how to identify useful resources to question the experience but also the limits.
Objectives
To encourage the discovery of associative/social entrepreneurship projects aiming at social and/or environmental objectives through an involvement in them. Reflect on the experience of engagement in relation to one's personal, civic and academic journey. Linking the engagement experience to the curriculum followed so far, identifying the resources it offers but also its limits.
Content
For a minimum of 30 hours (for management engineering students)/40 hours for others, the student is involved in an association/enterprise in the social and solidarity economy. A supervised reflexivity exercise will ensure that students reflect on their experience in the light of, among other things, the learning outcomes they have accumulated since entering university.
Teaching methods
With the help of FUCID and references given on webcampus, the student finds a place of commitment, validated if necessary by the teacher. The student commits 30/40 hours from the end of October to the end of March to the chosen association/social enterprise. Three group seminars and individual follow-up will accompany the "diary of significant events" to be provided.
Evaluations
The report to be evaluated will consist of three parts, which will be written at the beginning, during and at the end of the experience respectively: 1. The student's writing of what constitutes his/her vision of self, others and the world (concerned by the project) before the experience begins 2. Writing down two to three "milestones" (which evoked positive or negative emotions) throughout the experience, which will be described and analysed using elements of the curriculum already completed 3. Going back through the first two parts, identify what has been learned through the experience and project into the personal, academic and civic future.
