Quentin VAN ENIS

 

Introduction

Quentin Van Enis is a lawyer specialised in Media Law, in IT Law and in Human Rights Law.

Since the 1st of January 2019, he has been working as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg).

He is a lecturer at the University of Namur, where he teaches a course of Media Law. 

He holds a Master Degree in Law (University of Louvain), a complementary Master in Human Rights Law (University of Louvain, University Saint-Louis Brussels and University of Namur) and a PhD in Law (University of Namur).

His doctoral thesis, entitled "Press freedom in the digital era" (« La liberté de la presse à l’ère numérique »), defended in 2014 and published in 2015 by Larcier, led him to become interested in how the law deals with the changes in the media landscape brought about by the emergence of the Internet.

He has also taught Human Rights Law, ICT Law and Contract Law (2013-2018) and has been a lawyer at the Brussels Bar (2014-2018) and a member of the Belgian French and German speaking Press self-regulatory body (« Conseil de déontologie journalistique »).

In 2017, he has been appointed as an expert in IT Law for the French-speaking chambers of the Legislation Division of the Belgian Council of State.
