Introduction

Hervé Jacquemin holds a law degree from the UCL (2001) and a Master en Informática y Derecho of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2002). He is also Doctor in Legal Sciences of the University of Namur (2009). His Ph.D., published in January 2010, dealt with Contract formalism protecting the weaker contract party (among others, the consumer), and was made with financial support of FRS-FNRS.  He is specialized in Consumer Law and Business Law, especially in the digital environment.  He is the author of numerous publications in these areas and is regularly invited as speaker in conferences in Belgium or abroad.  Professor at the University of Namur, he teaches Business Law (BA program) and eCommerce Law (advanced Master in IT and Law).  He is also the director of the new evening program of Bachelor, lauched in September 2016 at the Law Faculty.  He is attorney-at-Law, member of the Brussels Bar, of Counsel at ULYS Law Firm.
